As I already commented in my previous post, I had the great opportunity to paint the wonderful new 28mm range from JT Infamous featuring the WWII Polish Home Army and perfect for Bolt Action. We already saw how to paint step by step the armoured truck Kubuś, and today we will see how to paint the soldiers (or civilians).

Thanks to JT Infamous  and Wargames: Soldiers and Strategy you can download for free two detailed step by step painting guides showing how to paint a Civilian armed with a Molotov cocktail and SMG (originally published in WSS 101) and another civilian dressed with stolen militar garments (including a camouflage smock). For this guides I used the new range of acrylic paints for figures from AMMO. Note that Polish Home Army were not a bunch of partizans, but fully founded soldiers.

  1. Hi, let me for a little off topic. Polish Home Army were not “armed civilians” or any kind of partisants, as you say in topic. They were fully founded soldiers of Poland. Its allegiance was to the Polish Government-in-Exile in London.

  2. Hi Tomek. Thanks for the correction. I added something about it. Note that the painting guide is about painting armed civilians based on the gear they have. This painting guide can be used to paint armed civilians of any nationality, not specifically Polish 🙂

  3. How did you base the miniatures? The miniatures as published had thick metal bases molded on.

  4. Hi!

I removed the thick metal base using cutting pliers, a modelling knife and files. It is time consuming, but then you can integrate the miniature on any base.
